Bague De Fiançailles (The Trending Stylish Rings of 2022)

An engagement ring should last a lifetime, regardless of whether you shop for it together or leave it in a partner’s hands. You can expect grandiose styles in rings and all bridal trends. However, after two years of wedding and proposal postponements, couples abandon tradition and go with their gut when it comes to design details, including wedding jewelry.

According to Katie Zimmerman, Chief Merchandising Officer at the Blue Nile, “we are going to see different trends with engagement rings in 2022 because we know there is no one-size-fits-all when shopping for a ring that bague de fiançailles exemplifies the love a person shares with their partner.”According to experts, the following ring styles are expected to be the most popular in 2022. Here are nine engagement ring trends you’ll want to wear immediately (or get your hands on).

The Stylish Engagement Ring of 2022

  1. Toi Et Moi

Multi-stone engagement rings have been a huge trend recently-Megan Fox, Ariana Grande, Emily Ratajkowski-and you can expect the style to continue. According to Zimmerman, multi-stone rings (and even triple-stone rings) will be popular and unusual combinations of gems and stones (like Fox’s emerald and the pearl on Grande’s ring).

She explains that the double stone shows the coming together of two people as a couple. “Recently, people have been choosing unique gems and diamonds to enhance further the love story that is being told with the two gemstones.”

Brilliant Earth’s Senior Vice President of Merchandising and Retail, Kathryn Money, tells us the appeal of the Toi Et Moi design is its timeless symbolism. The engagement ring style might seem modern and unique, but it has been around for centuries, she says. Besides symbolizing togetherness, the Toi Et Moi engagement ring also highlights the beauty of each stone paired with the other.

  1. Gender-Neutral Rings

Finally, gender-neutral rings are becoming more widely available over the past year. The trend is just getting started. In the coming year, simple, gender-fluid designs will continue to gain popularity. This year, the stars are embracing chunkier jewelry, with Bella Hadid, Dua Lipa, and Kylie Jenner leading the way.

In spite of the popularity of dainty rings for engagement rings, Money reports that more women are choosing bolder, chunkier styles more associated with men.

  1. Colorful Gemstones

Colored stones are having a moment, allowing couples to choose something bold and bright to represent their relationship. Zimmerman points out that emerald, morganite, and sapphire are particularly popular choices this year.

According to Michela Griffin, Commercial Lead at commerce shopping app Klarna, colored engagement rings, and wedding accessories, like colored bridal gowns, have surged in popularity recently. In December 2021 alone, emerald stone rings increased by 115%, setting 2022 up as the year of the gemstone.

  1. Vintage Nostalgia

The antique engagement ring industry has taken over the fashion industry in the same way that thrifting and vintage finds have taken over the fashion industry. A unique, heirloom piece can be really special, but vintage-inspired rings allow you to stay true to yourself while maintaining the same style. “They can be made into their own and still have sentimental value, but they offer a special connection to a loved one like a grandmother, mother, or aunt,” says Zimmerman.

The addition of a diamond shape, cut, or band will refresh a classic sparkler, while milgrain, hand engraving, draping, and filigree designs will add vintage elements, according to Zimmerman. The idea behind vintage-inspired rings is to make them your own while adding sentimental value to the engagement ring, says Zimmerman.

The classic cushion cuts have made a comeback, according to Klarna, whose research found that the vintage style saw a 118% increase in sales late last year. It’s no surprise that Cushion Cut engagement rings are trending ahead of other classical staples among bride-to-be, explains Griffin.
