Engine

Transmission
The transmission of a motorbike is an important part of its functionality. It carries the engine’s power to the wheels, and allows the rider to select different gears and speeds.
There are a number of transmissions for a motorcycle, including conventional constant mesh sequential and DCT (dual clutch) transmissions. The latter is found on many modern motorcycles, such as the VFR1200F and NC700X from Honda.
Conventional motorcycle transmissions change gears by sliding one gearwheel across a mainshaft until it locks into another driven gearwheel via internal “dogs” — lugs cast into one gear that fit into holes in another gearwheel. This requires time, power and can add weight to the bike.
Brakes
Brakes are an essential part of any motorbike, and the braking system of your bike is incredibly complex. As a result, the mechanics of the brakes need to be understood and maintained well so that your bike is safe to ride and can stop quickly in an emergency.
The braking system of your motorbike needs to be checked regularly, and the pads should be replaced when they wear down too thin. They should also be thick enough to give you adequate stopping power when riding.
Electrical
The electrical system of a motorbike is responsible for powering several electronic components in the vehicle. These include various electric gauges, digital gadgets, power windows, central locking mechanisms and more.

Suspension
